There are things like MySQL and gd. I run Subversion for source control and many of the repositories are public.
If you click on over to Coffee on the Keyboard, you'll see a WordPress blog. It uses many of my plugins, as well as several others.
To get the "recent" section in the footer, I use PHP's SimpleXMLElement object to read my own Atom feed. It's a great class, if you haven't used it.
This is one of two virtual servers I rent from
Slicehost. I highly recommend
them to any developer-types. Both run Memcache to cache pages
and speed up rendering.
