Most Comments Widget
Adds a simple widget to show the most-commented posts.
Does require a widgetized sidebar.
Tested in WP 2.3.3, should work in 2.3.x and 2.5.x since there were no database changes. I don't know if it's necessary in 2.5.
Installation
Unzip or upload the most-comments-widget to your
wp-content/plugins directory. Then head to your
Plugins page and activate it.
Using the Most Comments Widget
Go to the Presentation menu and then the Widgets submenu. Drag the Most Comments widget from Available Widgets into a sidebar.
By default, the title is "Most Comments" and it shows the top 5 posts. If you click the configure button, you can rename the widget (to, for example, "Most Popular") or change the number of posts (up to 15).
License
This plugin, like all my plugins, is "show me"-ware. If you decide to use it, please let me know so I can see my handiwork in action! Other than that, it's GPL.
