Better Search Widget
Adds a replacement Search widget with customizable title, button value, and search field length.
Requires a widgetized sidebar.
Tested in WP 2.3.1, 2.6.1, and 2.7, should work in 2.3.x and 2.5.x. If not, let me know.
Installation
Unzip or upload the better-search-widget to your
wp-content/plugins directory. Then head to your
Plugins page and activate it.
Using the Better Search Widget
Go to the Design menu and then the Widgets submenu. Add the Better Search widget from Available Widgets list into a sidebar.
By default, the title is "Search", the search button value is
"Search", and the search field size value is 15.
License
This plugin, like all my plugins, is "show me"-ware. If you decide to use it, please let me know so I can see my handiwork in action! Other than that, it's under the MIT license.
